Valentine’s Day Glam Using My Subtl Stak
Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to lean into something a little sultry, a little romantic, and still totally wearable. Today I’m walking you through how I created this Valentine’s Day glam using my Subtl Stak, featuring one of our newest Lip Glazes in the shade Fearless.
This look is neutral at its core but layered in a way that adds depth, glow, and just enough drama for a night out or a special date.
Soft, Sultry Eyes With a Romantic Twist
I already had my base makeup done before starting this look. If you’re looking for a base routine, be sure to check out my previous tutorials where I go step by step.
To begin the eyes, I reached for the dual ended eyeshadow brush from our four piece brush set. Using the fluffy side, I picked up a small amount of bronzer and lightly buffed it into my crease. This acts as a transition shade and adds soft depth without overpowering the eye. I kept the motion light and blended outward slightly to create a subtle cat eye shape.
Next, I went in with the matte side of the Jelly eyeshadow duo using the flatter end of the brush. I focused this shade along the outer corner and lash line, softly buffing it into a wing. The key here is to keep the color concentrated near the lashes and blend slowly for a diffused, sultry effect.
For shimmer, I used the shimmery side of Jelly and applied it with my finger to the center and outer portion of the lid. Using your finger really helps maximize payoff and gives that glossy, dimensional finish. To brighten the inner corner, I added the shimmery side of the Cloud Nine eyeshadow duo, again using my finger, then lightly blended everything together with the fluffy brush so the shades melt seamlessly into one another.
To finish the eyes, I created a soft wing using the matte dark brown shade from the Dune eyeshadow duo and an angled brush. This acts as a powder liner and gives definition without the harshness of liquid liner. A quick tip if eyeliner feels tricky, hold your mirror lower so your eyelid is looking down. It makes winged liner much easier and more controlled. I also pulled a bit of that shade along the lower lash line for balance.
Rosy Cheeks and Soft Definition
For cheeks, I leaned fully into the Valentine’s theme with Mauve in the Maldives lip and cheek. I tapped it onto my cheekbones with my fingers, then blended it out using the dense brush from the four piece brush set. This gives a soft, flushed look that feels romantic and fresh.
Once all my cream products were in place, I set everything with BB powder using a fluffy brush. This locks everything in while adding a touch more coverage. I also used the same brush to lightly buff powder bronzer into my forehead, under the blush, around the temples, and along the jawline to bring warmth and dimension back to the face. Whatever was left on the brush went lightly down the bridge of my nose.
To add even more rosy glow, I layered Pink in a Pinch powder blush over the cream blush. This adds longevity and gives that perfect Valentine’s flush. I also tapped a bit onto the nose for a cohesive, sun kissed look.
Dewy Highlight That Ties It All Together
For highlight, I went back to the Cloud Nine eyeshadow duo and used the shimmer as a highlighter. With a small tapered brush, I applied it to the tops of my cheekbones, brow bone, cupid’s bow, and the tip of my nose. I love using eyeshadow shimmers as highlighters because everything in the Subtl Stak is meant to be versatile and work together. The soft glow pairs beautifully with pink and mauve tones and keeps the look cohesive from eyes to cheeks.
The Perfect Valentine’s Lip
For lips, I wanted something that felt bold but still wearable. I lined my lips using Bordeaux on the Go lip and cheek with a lip liner brush, then filled in the center with our new nude lip glaze in Fearless. This shade is a berry nude that pairs perfectly with a deeper liner, creating a lip that feels rich, romantic, and still neutral enough to balance the rest of the look.
The lip glaze adds hydration, shine, and a plump finish that lasts, making it ideal for a long Valentine’s night out.
Final Touches
I finished the look with mascara off camera, and that’s it. This Valentine’s Day glam is soft, glowy, and effortlessly romantic, all using the Subtl Stak.
If you recreate this look, I’d love to see it. As always, leave any questions or comments below, and I’m wishing you the happiest Valentine’s Day.
